Hi Neighbours.
I have been informed that the council are coming to the development next Monday to complete the habitation Licence.
The only thing that will STOP the development from getting this is: TV Arial’s. The Sat TV mesh ones.
If you have one it MUST be taken down before MONDAY!!! Or the development will not get its licence.
Contacted Parador this morning and they confirmed this. They said that they had fitted Sat TV Systems to a couple of the houses on the development and their engineers were coming down Friday to remove them. Once the inspector from the council has been, they can go back up.

Thanks for this. I asked around and can broadly confirm the substance of your message. However, I am also told that the inspection on Monday applies to the houses on Manzana 7. The inspection for Manzana 8, is not being done for another 4 weeks. I am told that Helder will give us a few days notice so that the aerials can be taken down, Yet another unanticipated cost to0 absorb unless you can DIY.
Quite what happens about those houses that have aerials but are mostly unoccupied I have no idea.

Hi Robin
Is there any up todate news on the Habitation licence being granted.
And you must excuse me for being a tad thick but what or where is Manzana 7 or 8.
Regards
Pete

Hi Folks.
As far as I understand it, the visit that was scheduled for this week did not happen so quite where it all stands now I don't know. Tthe best that one can say is that it does appear to be imminent and the development is up in arms about the aerial mostly because of the total lack of information from Taray on the subject. If anybody knows better than me (not difficult on this subject) feel free to join in.
As far as the Manzana thing is concerned, if you look on your Taray contract , ( the Spanish one) there should be a plan at the back showing your street and the position of your property on it. Your should also find a reference to the Manzana (normally in spanish this means 'apple' but apparently in architectural terms it also means 'block' )
Course, if the inspection on Monday did not take place, our inspection (Manzana 8) in 4 weeks is probaly dubious too.
If I get anything more substantive I'll let you know.

Hello to everyone,
I hope you don't think I'm being cheeky but I am just interested to know what the up to date position is regarding the habitation licence being granted for your development.
We have bought at Taray's San Cayetano development and will not be completing until our licence is in place. We read with interest the post about the removal of the mesh dishes . We understand from friends on our own development who have completed ( and have dishes) that they too have now been instructed to remove them, although we understand that the communal mast/ dish now allows a Sky package to be received. What we are trying to find out is whether in fact the notice to remove the dishes in any way indicates the licence is actually being granted or is it just Taray's way of making sure that the only dish/ mesh on show is theirs?
Did you ever actually get your visit from the Town Hall officials re the licence and if not have Taray offered any excuse as to why not?
Any information would be most appreciated.
Thanks
Ken & Elaine McMenemy
P.S. Your pool area looks lovely and we wish all of you every happiness .

Hi Ken & Elaine.
It was not Taray being difficult by having mesh dishes removed BUT in order to gain the habitation licence the council inspect the development and if it doesn`t look like what is on the plans the development could have been refused the licence. As soon as the council have been you can put your dish back up, it doesnt have to be removed just taken down for thir visit.
As for the Communal mast, I was informed that you could not get any SKY from this, just spanish and the usual, BBC 1.2. ITV & Channel 4, would be interested in who told you differently.

Hi Kevin & Corinne,
Thanks for your reply.
If you look on the San Cayetano forum under "Sky TV" you will see what we are referring to.
We know that some people who have managed to complete were experiencing problems obtaining a good signal. It appears to be the case that at San Cayetano the new communal dish/ mesh removes the need for individual masts (but I may be reading the post wrongly and apologies to David if I am) but when we bought back in Feb 06 we were told that each house would be linked to the communal mast signal without the need for individual dishes, so it looks as if this is now happening at our site. Perhaps if you post on our forum under the Sky heading people using it will let you know how it works, as we are not sure if they now have to pay Taray for the service or if Taray's dish simply boosts the signal they already have subscribed to elsewhere. If Helder is around he might be able to give you some more information.
Did you ever get your visit from the council regarding the granting of the licence or are you still waiting ? If you are still waiting, have Taray given you a definite date for the visit and/ or the granting of the licence?
Thanks again
Elaine & Ken.

Hi I have already posted the following under one of the other forums. But thought this one was also applicable.
Also we are Manzana 6 so has our inspection been done if 7 & 8 were supposed to be in June and July?
I am a new user and have only just found this great Forum. We are in Stage 3 of the development and were told by Parador that our property was completed in Mid July. We have been trying without success to find out from them how long it takes for all the paperwork to go through. This afternoon I have had a phone conversation where they said it could be another 6-8 months. Are they scaremongering. It seems from the below that those buying direct from Taray are getting much more favourable timescales.
Would be really greatful to hear about what other people have been told and perhaps any experiences that those from Stage one and two have had.
Thanks Claire

hi claire
I think everyone in mananza 6 have been told the property will be ready from 13th august. It is now up to your estate agent and solicitor to get the paperwork sorted and a meeting with the notary arranged. You need to push them as it should not take too long. After all you are paying them.
Kevin this is your favourite subject - parador!! how much did you pay for water and electricity connection fees?
any more word on the communal aerial?
vincent

Hi Vincent.
You will need 300 euros when you go to sign at the notary, thats to cover the builders electric and water supply.
No news on the communal TV but the neighbours have been up in arms while we were over there the last 2 weeks. Taray came round and took there Sat TV Arials down, but when they did they cut the connection and removed boxes, there has been a lot of angry neighbours on the site. They finallly got them put back up on Friday of this week.
